I, Adrian Penissi, have come a long way to make it to the Infinity Knights. With hard work and determination, I could finally make it to what I am today.

My Story

I was born and raised on planet Earth in what is known as North America, specifically in a big city known as New York, in a part called Manhattan. My parents are immigrants from Sicily, Italy. While my mom was a housewife, my dad served the Earth Galactic Air Force back when Earth faced the problems of galactic terrorism. Thanks to him, I gained a very strong love for planes and spaceships. As a kid I had always dreamed of becoming a spaceman so I could defend Earth, but my older brother and sister never believed I could really make it. My family didn't have that much money, we lived in a small, crowded apartment of one room. You can pretty much imagine how horrible it felt having five people living in a messy neighborhood in a city that never sleeps. Thankfully, my dad worked with his brother, my uncle FiIipo, in an aircraft hangar at JFK airport. My uncle also served the Earth Galactic Air Force and was ranked lieutenant colonel but he also served the Infinity Knights.  Even though living in a city like New York was not easy, I always tried my best at school. Out of all the student in my math classes, I was the one that always got straight As and my friends always seeked for my help. I had pretty good connections with people and making friends was not a challenge, obviously because my siblings and I speak fluent English so there was no problem with communication. Sometimes I would go go out and explore the city with my friends, but some other times I would work with my dad and my uncle, just to see how the deal was with aeronautics. From that moment on, I knew that I wanted to become an aeronautic and space engineer for the Infinity Knights.

With the support of my parents,my siblings and my uncle, I could graduate as an aeronautic and space engineer.  Thanks to my dear uncle, I had learned how to manage teamwork and to discipline myself. My uncle tried to look for a way that I could join the Infinity Knights while having such a young age. It all looked fine, until one day, when my Uncle had to fly with an crew to Deyo Prime, a planet not far from Earth, in order to handle the critical situation happening over there. It turned out that the planet had conflicts with Salsola, a  planet located not far, because of territorial space sections. The ship that my uncle and the crew were in had suffered heavy damage from an attack that the army in Deyo Prime had fired, thinking it was Salsolan. The ship then crashed into the planet, claiming the lives of the whole crew, including my uncle. That day was very devastating and that was something that I will never forget until this day. A memorial service for the crew was held in Starbase 7, the base where my uncle had worked most of his career. He was also a very recognized man and everybody had a lot of respect for him. From that day on, I knew that I had to follow his legacy as an Infinity Knight, so this was my chance.

Before my uncle had left to what was his last trip, he gave a badge from the Infinity Knights. I still keep that ribbon until this day. When the time came, I packed my bags and headed to the Infinity Training Camp. It was pretty difficult saying goodbye to my friends and family, specially after that horrible accident, but I knew that if I didn't start trying, I would not become an Infinity Knight. Applying for the Infinity Knights was not easy at all. You had to overcome numerous physical and mental programs in order to make to the top 500! After that, you had to repeat the tests, but they were a lot harder, and you and to make it to the top 100, until you were eventually singed up with a crew. Obviously, I never gave up so I completed my fitness programs and did my best. Some nights I would not sleep due tot he pain of running, lifting and practicing in the zero gravity chambers. I also had to simulate a space mission, meaning I had to spend a week straight inside of a spaceship with a designated crew, and believe me when I say that you have to be mentally prepared for that. Luckily, I was one of the few members that made it through the entire simulation. I was then officially declared an Infinity Knight and with my experience in engineering and discipline, I was designated as an engineer(for most of the missions) and a security guard. My past experiences have taught many valuable things in life that have contributed to my job as an Infinity Knight and I know that even though I have lost someone who was very valuable to me, that loss still pushed me more into what I wanted to be. What also motivated me to keep on going was when I met new people at the camp and at my new crew. This made me think how important it is to follow your dream, because you never know what type of people you are going to meet in your path.
