Religion

Rovdina is currently an atheist state in its majority, obviously with the exception of some minorities. This wasn't always the case since Rovdina has a very mixed history and that is what has affected the demographics in terms of religion. Traditionally, the people have believed in a series of gods called the Xerjes, whom, according to the Rovdinians, they are the creators of the universe. The people have numerous holidays like  Tyunman Day, which is supposedly the day when the leader of the Xerjes, Karolos, visited the planet and constructed the society. Another common holiday that is celebrated is the Day of the Three Moons, where the three moons are commemorated after Taros, the God of the astros, created them. After the installation of the communist government 100 years ago, religious acts were highly oppressed, but thankfully recent government policies have allowed some religious celebrations, as long as they don't promote extremism.  According to official statistics, about 58% of the population is atheist, 39% are Xerjians and the other 3% have claimed to have their own beliefs.
